Job Description
We need a Registered Nurse for our triage team. In this job, you will take all calls from people who aren’t sure whether they need the ER, urgent care or just a good night’s sleep. You listen, you ask the right questions, and you tell them what to do next.
Every call is unique. Some people are chill, and give you everything upfront. Others are scared and can hardly make any sense. You have to keep your head, follow the protocol and document the call before you move on to the next one.
“You won’t see the patient. That is the hardest part for a nurse who is coming from floor or ER work. You're working on what they say and how they say it. It's a bit of a learning curve, but most nurses get their feet under them in the first few weeks.
The training is 3 weeks long, fully paid and fully remote. We send you the equipment. Laptop, headset, secure system access. You only need a quiet room and a good internet connection.

Responsibilities
- Assessing symptoms over the phone and directing patients to the right care
- Following triage protocols accurately on every call
- Documenting call details in the EHR system in real time
- Escalating emergencies to the on-call physician right away
- Giving clear home care instructions when appropriate
- Staying HIPAA compliant on every single call
Skills Required
- Clinical assessment and sound judgment
- Calm under pressure, especially with anxious callers
- Fast, accurate typing while on a call
- Clear communication all language
- Experience in Cerner, or similar EHR systems
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact multi-state license preferred)
- ADN or BSN degree
- Current BLS certification
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years clinical RN experience
- ER, ICU, or urgent care background is a plus
- Prior telephone triage experience helpful but not required
Salary
$68,000 – $78,000/year
