Job Overview
As a Caregiver you will go into clients’ homes to help them with their everyday tasks. Each client is unique, therefore your responsibilities may vary from one assignment to another. For some, you may provide companionship and light household help. For others you may help with mobility, meal preparation, personal care or transportation.
The company seeks to match caregivers and clients by location, availability and experience whenever possible. It allows workers to establish stable relationships and dependable care.
This position does not require a medical license unless noted for a specific assignment.
Daily Responsibilities
Your day could include many caregiving tasks such as:
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
- Helping with meals and preparing healthy meals.
- Companionship and emotional support.
- Helping clients walk safely at home.
- Assist with transfers and mobility as needed.
- Reminder to clients to take prescribed medication.
- Light housekeeping such as laundry and dishwashing.
- Running errands as needed or taking clients to appointments.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition.
- Accurate recording of visit notes in accordance with company procedures.
- No two workdays are ever the same, as each care plan is unique to each individual client’s needs.
Candidate Requirements
The applicant should be:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Authorization to Work in the United States
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation for client home visits.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect.
- Basic skills in reading and writing English.
- Corporate Training. Willingness to finish.
Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide, personal care assistant, or nursing assistant is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
Because caregiving involves helping clients with daily activities candidates should be able to:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Assist client with ambulation as required.
- Lift and carry light household items.
- Bend, reach, and do routine caregiving activities.
- Stay cool when something unexpected occurs.
Work Schedule
The schedules are built around client needs and caregiver availability.
Some of the common options are:
Full-time shifts.
Day shifts.
Night shifts.
Weekend assignments as required.
The company tries to pair caregivers with clients in their vicinity whenever possible to reduce travel time.
Salary & Benefits
Depending on experience, hours worked, and your local market, you can expect to make on average between $39,000 and $51,000 per year.
